Ice Idanan graduated with honors from the University of the Philippines Film Institute. Her first short film LIMANG LIBO (Five Thousand) was the National Winner for the Kodak Filmschool Competition in 2009. In 2010, she was a fellow at the Asian Film Academy under the 15th Busan International Film Festival where she was trained to be a Cinematographer. Ice was selected with five other talented Filipino filmmakers to represent the Philippines in the 10th edition of the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2012.
Her first feature film, SAKALING HINDI MAKARATING (In Case They Don’t Arrive), was a finalist at the CineFilipino Independent Film Festival last March 2016, where she won 7 awards out of 10 nominations including Best Director, Best Cinematography and 1st runner up for Best Picture.
