MAKING BEACH – Sailor Gerry

When Professor Leslie is diagnosed with a heart condition caused by stress, and a contracted fisherman lets the crew down at the last minute, director Marcus has an idea. He rings his old actor friend Gerry to pretend to be the fisherman. Unfortunately, Marcus is drunk and forgets that he asked his mate to come along as his party trick character: the camp Sailor Gerry.

In 2014, Future Sun Films was commissioned by regional digital channel Aprill TV to film behind-the-scenes for an upcoming natural history series: ‘BEACH’. This series was intended to be filmed on the beaches of Britain over the summer of 2015. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen incompetence, Making Beach is all that remains of the disastrous summer-long shoot for the Sunday tea-time pleaser.
